We have a database of millions of trading cards, most of which we also have images for. Our computer-vision system attempted to find the exact match to the card you scan. If there are multiple variants (e.g. reprints, parallels), we’ll tell you that as well, and you can view all those to pick the correct match. If the system doesn’t identify a match, you can search the database for your card and connect it.
We crawl several leading auction and marketplace sites with publicly available sale data, and calculate the average prices based on this data. You can easily filter based on card condition or grade. We update our pricing daily.
We calculate the average price for a card based on the last 10 transactions within a six-month window. If there are no prices in that time frame, we display the last known sale price. And if we don't have any known sales, we calculate a CollX estimate based on comps for other cards in that set, for that player, and given any flags (rookie, auto), variants (parallels) and other deterministic factors.
After scanning a card, you will see an “Add to My Collection” option. You can also manually search for cards you own by tapping on the + icon atop the Collection screen, and adding them this way.
On the Collection screen, tap on the “select” button at the top left and then select one or more cards to delete. You can also tap on any card record and chose the “delete” button at the bottom of the Card Details screen.
We don’t. At least, not yet. You can manually input the condition of any card by selecting “edit” on the Card Details screen and inputting the condition (or grade) there. We intend to add additional functionality in the future to automatically suggest a card’s condition in the future.
Yes! You can set your price by going to your Collection view, tapping on any card, and selecting “Sell Card.” After setting your price, other users will be able to contact you directly through the App’s Messaging function to negotiate a sale. We will be adding additional functionality, including the ability to generate a shipping label and having CollX handle the transaction in the months to come.
